I'm an explorer at heart, having lived in seven countries and traveled to 80.Through my content and storytelling studio Pilota Creative, I work with founders, creators, software companies, and mission-driven organizations on positioning, messaging, editorial strategy, and long-form and video content. Ten-plus years of it, largely in software and the WordPress ecosystem: Sandhills Development, Paid Memberships Pro, WP Mayor.I also partner with Small Actions Studio on content and messaging for nonprofits. I've launched and co-launched several digital product businesses, with several on Product Hunt.
The clients I work with are usually years ahead of the language describing them. Good work, badly explained, or explained fine and presented like an afterthought. Both are fixable and that's the work I love.I'm a classically trained saxophonist, a vocalist, and a songwriter. Over 20 years in, with more than 10 million streams and music played at Tomorrowland and Ultra. I also produce music videos and visual content for other artists.I believe we're entering a modern renaissance, that humans are inherently creative, that tribe matters more than ever, and that communities are the future. That belief led me to create New Renaissance Tribe, a newsletter of personal essays, a podcast, and a community for renaissance souls: curious, creative, and multi-passionate people.At the heart of everything I do is the same question:How do we live and create more artfully?I love connecting with musicians, creators, builders, seekers, and lifelong learners.
